Why I Built
Audio Arcade
My name is Devjyoti Bose, and I'm from Kolkata — a city that has always been at the heart of Indian art, music, and culture. I'm a passionate traveller and someone who genuinely loves building things that make life better for people.
I've always believed that creativity shouldn't have a price barrier. As I explored India and met creators — filmmakers, YouTubers, podcasters, musicians — I kept hearing the same frustration: "Finding good sounds is so hard. Everything is expensive, foreign, or just doesn't fit what we're making."
The existing sound libraries were built for the West. The sounds felt wrong for Indian productions. The pricing was in dollars. The subscriptions were endless. Indian creators were being left behind.
So I decided to do something about it.
